Lost in Train Station

Lost in Train Station is an ongoing photo series born from a recurring dream. In the dream, I am rushing to catch a train, but the station is vast and shifting—tracks and platforms multiply, destinations blur, and just when I think I’ve found my way, everything changes.

Shot in train stations and on trains in the Netherlands and the UK, the images explore disorientation, urgency, and the strange poetics of in-between places. The project evolved into an artist book created under the guidance of Japanese artist Nishiko and was first exhibited in Leiden in 2024.
